Generasi GIGIH Reflection Learning
Here is the continuation of my journey at Generasi GIGIH program held by Yayasan Anak Bangsa Bisa.
After the announcement, I am glad to say that I got the chance to be part of Generasi GIGIH Intermediate Level with Data Analyst Learning Path. As a information system graduate, I hate to say that I have no knowledge in data. Of course, I learned about the basic of data at university, but I don’t really have interest back then because my interest was in UI/UX. Being in Data Analyst learning path is a new challenge for me that I am very excited about.
In the first week of intermediate level, I like to say that I learned a lot. We learned about the technical of data analyst every monday, wednesday, and friday, and english class every tuesday and thursday. So many new insights that I got during the class, I am also amazed by all the teachers from Gojek. I love to hear their story on how they became part of Gojek.
During technical class, We learned about the basic of data like the meaning, the function and the type. we also learned about Big Data and Data Warehouse. I have learned about data warehouse back in university but I believed I still need to recall it. As a newcomer in data, I am very excited when we got to learned about the differences between data analyze, data scientist, and data engineer. Because now I knew what responsibilities that each role had and what I should be considered to choose.
I also notice that everyone is also very excited with this program. As a social awkward person, sometimes it is hard for me to brave enough to ask question in front of everybody. But seeing everyone doing so, I started to be encouraged to venture myself to got out of my comfort zone. I also still not used to full English class, so sometimes I still need to translate what the teachers are saying the find out what they mean. But I knew that it all new experiences for me, so I have to get used to it. Hopefully I get better in future week.
